Reporting from Quetzal

Quetzal - Hmm…… first 'Helpdesk System' back in the day. Started off with a nice (and reliable) DOS interface but, then with everything else in 1995, it had to go Windows. MI wasn't really a feature as everyone knew what everyone did, we adjusted resource accordingly - doing other things when quiet and drafting in when things went silly.

Reporting only came to the fore when big corporate mergers started happening and the words 'budget' and 'accountability' drifted around the office.

Quetzal's reporting eventually consisted of database export into DBase 4 format, followed by a whizzy piece of Clipper to create text files and then a humungous series of excel macros to create lots of lovely graphs.
