The ITiL foundation was sprung upon a group of us more customer-facing techies as we were probably the most likely to need to use it ? Hmmm…… To be honest, looking at some of the far-flung corners of an IT department, it is those that 'emerge' for coffee that probably need the 5-day cattle-prod that we were subjected to.

It was very illuminating and seemed to make a lot of sense. However, it would have been good to have toolsets in place that could support the methodologies learned. It was a non-stop grilling by a lecturer that would have been well-placed with the marines. Tardiness was met with massive rebuke and derision and his teaching style ensured that non of us failed it. The relief to get that envelope a week later with that magic score of 36/42 was great.
